Nectarine
May help prevent:

Nectarines are thought of as the ‘peach without fuzz’ but they contain twice as much vitamin C, potassium and beta-carotene than peaches. While potassium promotes healthy blood pressure levels, beta-carotene and vitamin C prevent heart disease and cancer. Vitamin C also boosts the immune system, helping the fight against disease and the common cold and flu. In addition, these stone fruit protect against cancer, lower cholesterol levels and prevent constipation with its pectin fibres.

Action Tip: Nectarines are juicy and sweet as is. They add wonderful flavour to salsa, smoothies, green and fruit salads. Grilled nectarines are also delicious with grilled chicken or fish.
