Amaranth

Centuries ago, the Aztecs believed amaranth grains had supernatural powers. Rightfully so, amaranth grains rank as super grains due to their superior nutrient content. One half cup of amaranth provides 5 grams of high quality protein including two essential amino acids, lysine and methionine, not usually found in other grains. Rich in minerals, amaranth supplies iron, zinc, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and phosphorous to support a strong immune system, healthy blood pressure, and strong bones.
