food safety tips
  • Wash your hands thoroughly before preparing or eating food
  • Use leftovers within 3 days of preparing the food
  • Return food to the fridge as soon as possible after eating
  • Use a separate cutting board for raw meat and vegetables
  • Use food before the expiry date
  • Thoroughly clean your fridge at least 4 times each year
  • Use canned and dried food within 2 years of purchasing
  • Check your fridge temperature periodically to ensure it is at 4 degrees Celcius
  • Keep your lunch in the fridge or bring an ice pack
  • Wash your hands after being in the bathroom or public places
  • Wash your water jug or water bottle weekly
